Zurich, the city of guilds, captures the imagination with a unique audiovisual exhibition. How important are guilds in the city of Zurich? Compare the past to the present. Visit a guild member's reception hall or board a boat to journey into the past. Guided by a former mayor of Zurich, delve into a time when gifts to officials were still allowed! Experience touching moving images of Zurich's history up to the modern era in historic spaces. It will captivate you while being entertaining, exciting and informative.

General opening hours

The exhibition is open every Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Adults - CHF 10.00

Students and trainees - CHF 5.00

Children below the age of 16 - free of charge

Members of the Zunftstadt association -free o.c.

Zürich Card/Swiss Museum pass - free of charge

Private tours

We are happy to open the exhibition for your event in a way that suits your needs. We can do this 365 days a year from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Duration of a visit / guided tour

The ideal time for a visit or a guided tour is 90 minutes. In this time you can watch a large part of the productions. If you have less time, we will arrange it according to your possibilities.

Languages/accessibility

Our main productions are available in English. There are also subtitles for people with hearing impairments (but only in German).
